 Attorney Junnier was recently unanimously appointed by Broward County Mayor Bogen and the Broward County Commission to the Broward County Affordable Housing Committee, which works to address the county’s approximately 75,000-unit affordable housing deficit through policy development, planning, and strategic recommendations.  

 The Committee also reviews and recommends improvements to local housing incentives, regulations, and comprehensive planning policies to better support affordable housing initiatives.

The TVLC assists veterans throughout Florida's Big Bend region with free or low cost legal services.

It does this chiefly through its free Thursday clinics from 3-5PM at the American Legion Hall at Lake Ella in Tallahassee, by assisting with driver's license reinstatements, food drops, and by giving veterans court participants the opportunity to perform their community service hours helping other veterans.

Attorney Junnier has served as a volunteer lawyer and has been a member of the Board of Directors for multiple terms.

Attorney Junnier has been accredited by the VA allowing him to represent America's warriors before the Department of Veteran Affairs and assist them with their benefits and pension planning. He is a volunteer and on the Board of Directors of the Tallahassee Veterans Legal Collaborative.

All Florida attorneys may appear in any Florida state court. However, Attorney Junnier is also allowed to appear in each of Florida's three federal district courts. This required approval from each court individually. 

Attorney Junnier was hosted by 926 Bar & Grill to give a talk on recent clawbacks of LGBTQ+ rights in Florida. Nearly forty participants engaged with our conversation "Normalizing Hate." 

Many brave advocates shared their stories and discussed how these phobic laws affect them personally and the chilling effect it has on their engagement in free speech.

Because it was a huge success, we are looking at duplicating the talk in other parts of the state. 

 On February 17th, Attorney Junnier was invited to  speak to FAMU and FSU Ph.D. candidates and clinical staff about mental health and wellnesses from the perspective of a court stakeholder.   

His talk "Ignored Voices" focused on jails and prisons as America's biggest mental health provider, the unique challenges of PTSD veterans and specialized veteran courts, and the practical negative impacts of the Baker Act both generally and on people with PTSD.

Attorney Junnier was invited earlier this year to write a wills and trusts article for the prestigious CSA Journal. The Journal, primarily concerned with senior caregiving, is particularly well known in the elder law community).

 His article, "ARISTOTLE HAD A WILL AND YOU PROBABLY SHOULD TOO: THE SYNERGETIC BENEFITS AND DISADVANTAGES OF WILLS AND TRUSTS" will be published in the September 2023 issue.

 On May 17, 2023, The Florida Bar announced its recommendations for Gubernatorial  appointments to the powerful Judicial Nominating Commission ("JNC"). 

In Florida, the JNC recommends a list of judicial candidates to the Governor to fill vacant judicial (judges & justices) posts. The Governor then appoints judges from that list.

Attorney Junnier is one of six names given to the Governor to fill two 2nd Judicial Circuit JNC vacancies. By Law, the Governor must appoint from the Florida Bar list of recommendations.

Attorney Junnier has received a third "Challenge Coin" for volunteer work with The Tallahassee Veterans Legal Collaborative ("TVLC"). 

Attorney Junnier serves as Secretary on the TVLC Board of Directors.

The Tallahassee Veterans Legal Collaborative is a nonprofit legal and advocacy clinic for all Florida Veterans with a focus on Florida's homeless and otherwise neglected veterans. We do this through our:

• Pro bono clinic
• DL-RAP (Driver's License Reinstatement Assistance Program)
• The TVLC Fund
• Effective nonpartisan participation in the Florida lawmaking & budget process 

Attorney Junnier was elected Chair of the Tallahassee Environmental Committee on May 9th. The vote was unanimous.

 "The Environmental Board shall hear and decide matters related to the enforcement of, variances to, and appeals to the City of Tallahassee's environmental regulations, and any other matters assigned to it by the City Commission." 

Board decisions cannot be appealed to the City Commission and are non-reviewable by the City. We also decide environmental code variance requests and hear appeals of rulemaking decisions of the Department director.
