Divorce can be a nightmare, but our compassion and empathy toward clients and our assertiveness advancing their best interests may be able to make it a little more bearable. 

We can help clients during the investigative phase of divorce by contracting with private investigators and forensic accountants, and then with all legal aspects of divorce including drafting and responding to petitions, discovery, assisting with worksheets (and contracting accountants when needed), and hearing and trial appearances. Independently, we can also assist with family court appeals. 

Florida uses the "best interests of the child standard," and the modern trend is to split custody evenly between the parents whenever feasible. Likewise, this can make support unnecessary if both parents have similar incomes. There exist situations where these new norms are neither desirable nor safe. There can be issues of violence, wealth inequality, and sometimes one parent simply refuses to work. We will always fight assertively for your child's welfare. 

According to Forbes, half of all first marriages end in divorce, and the statistics get worse from there. A pre or postnuptial agreement isn't romantic, but it does express responsibility. If you don't ever need it while your alive--Great! It still doubles as a significant part of your estate plan. If you do need it, you'll have compromised within the trust and throes of love   Otherwise, in some cases, you may be trying to negotiate with someone who hates you and demands custody of your service animal. Plan ahead as you would for any major life event. 

We can help navigate you through the cumbersome OCSE process, the Hague Child Support Convention, and foreign reciprocation agreements, to enforce foreign orders of child support from dozens of countries. It may even be possible to seize U.S. assets from delinquent parents from nonparticipating countries. 

Although difficult, we can help foreign citizens enforce spousal support in Florida, and working with a foreign attorney we can help force a foreign or fleeing ex-spouse pay up to their ex-partner in Florida.
